Newsletter #7: Pitch-In Summer Update
We've just shared our August newsletter including the latest news and upcoming event opportunities.
Trust and digital healthcare
Digital healthcare technology providers have not yet earned the public’s trust, and clear policies with regards to data ownership and privacy could outweigh even aspects of performance when it comes to nurturing confidence in their technologies. These are among the findings of an online consultation organised by Pitch‑In in July 2020 to explore people’s attitudes towards digital healthcare technologies and their health data.

A collaboration between Pitch-In, start-up Ioetec and the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), which is part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult network, is helping manufacturers large and small reap the benefits that IoT can bring to their business operations.
Will IoT care for me?

Trust, digital healthcare and Covid-19
Attitudes towards the use of digital technologies for helping to contain the Covid-19 pandemic are shaped in large part by the degree of trust that people have in the government. This is one of the findings of an online consultation organised by Pitch-In in June 2020 to explore people’s concerns around a particularly topical question: the use of Internet of Things-related technologies for tackling the pandemic in the UK.
